Dining at the speed of 800 km/h is quite extreme, space is limited, and so is the kitchen. Let’s face it, it can be a hazzle trying to enjoy your dinner with wrappers and napkins and fellow passengers almost in your lap. SAS took inspiration from the wishes and demands of Scandinavias most experienced travelers and reinvented in-air dining. We at Åkestam Holst are very pleased to help SAS introduce this new handy way to eat on an airplane. Food made with fresh local ingredients originating from the country where the plane takes off and served in a packaging design unique to the industry. The concept launched on May 28 on SAS domestic, Scandinavian and European flights. The ingenious image of food cut into perfect cubes was created and shot exclusively for SAS and Åkestam Holst by the Dutch artists Lernert & Sander.
