A conductor, 15 small children who never played the piano, five weeks of training, a classical concert. Mini Maestros, our latest project Folksam, is a grand, enjoyable musical journey with a focus on children’s creativity and development.
Eric Satie Gymnopédie no one has been on the world’s great concert stages. The project Mini Maestros is a group of children aged 3-4 years from kindergarten Klara in Stockholm, which takes on the famous piece. To help them, they have the famous conductor of the Royal School of Music Jan Risberg well as music educators and preschool teachers. In five intense weeks of practice the kids and going step by step closer to the big goal – the performance at the big concert stage.
Throughout 2015, Folksam will focus on the children. This means in addition to an improved child insurance, also pay tribute to the children as the valuable, competent individuals they are and be inspired by their great potential.
– Project Mini Maestros is not about to present a perfect classic piece or trilling these children, but to give them an experience they can carry with them for years to come. And that hopefully can open up new creative paths in life, says Lena Strand, Marketing Manager at Folksam.
During the entire project, from the first tentative keystrokes to the concert, we have worked closely with the production company Film de Liberté and the documentary film company, Silvio. We’ve followed the children closely and documented every little step of the journey. Five weeks of filmed material has resulted in a number of films, commercials and a 10 minute documentary. Digital strategy and promotional strategy has been set up in collaboration with Beon, media agency Maxus and PR agency FLB Europe.
